The place where I am giving Spanish and Maths classes to adults. And due to the fact that we started the summer period yesterday, I went there for the introduction meeting with my students. We were driving in their Jeep when one of them recognized that it would be much shorter to go through the quarter of Lomas, one of the most expensive and biggest gated communities of Puebla.
And that is the reason I am writing this blog: It was impressive. From one second to the other, it seemed as we would had entered a new world. While everything was dry, dirty and so normal behind us, the street we entered (which is maintained and owned by the municipality) was so abnormal clean and strangely beautiful. Watered grass and flowers flanked our sides. At the right side we could observe a huge park with artificial waterfalls, at the left side there was a new sport centre. Houses here cost up to 25.900.000 Mexican Pesos (about 1,295 million Euros).

If you want to act against poverty, become active or passive part of TECHO.
